This week we are going to feature one of our horses...actually a pony. This is Breeze, our one-eye pony at Ti Tree Hills Horse Treks. He's an awesome wee ride for kids and teens, and even small adults. His eye was removed due to a cancer with the hopes it would stop it spreading, and so far so good. He's a common feature on our horse treks giving confident kids a fun ride, or providing a lead rein pony for the less confident. Breeze enjoyed all his riding in the holidays including being taken on an outing to trek around next door. Any questions about this pony this week? Just ask and we'll try to answer all your questions.
School holidays are over and so is spending every day with the horses riding at Ti Tree Hills Horse Treks. It's been a great holidays, and despite the odd day of rain we managed to get out riding almost every day. Now it's back to school and trekking on the weekends, riding lessons are back on, and there is plenty of time for people wanting to bring their own horses for a ride on our awesome trails. Bring on Term 2!
What to do when it's raining and there are no treks going ahead? Catch up on chores and pick up some much needed supplies at the shops. One of our horses has developed knack for breaking ropes if she's not given her feed fast enough after the rides, so today we got more.
Here's hoping tomorrow the weather clears and we can get back to horse treks and riding before school goes back on Monday!
Took the horses and went for an outing today. Fantastic to be out on a different farm for the day seeing the Waiwera Valley from a different perspective. All the horses did such a good job and enjoyed a change of scenery too...we even got to see where Ti Tree use to take horse treks before the motor way went though. Awesome ride had by all! Back to treks and Ti Tree Hills tomorrow.
On our way to the top of the hill to check out the amazing views! Horse riding - no better way to see the country. Our horses did so well today on every trek looking after experienced and beginner riders alike. Most even got in some trots or canters. Well done to everyone who joined us today!
Yay it's Monday! And we have a whole week left for riding and horsey fun at Ti Tree Hills. Started off the week with a couple of great rides up to see the views and through the river trail...and we can't wait for another full day of trail riding tomorrow.
Be sure to call us to book your horseback rides this week before all the spaces are gone! We look forward to showing you this beautiful slice of the New Zealand country side.
So cool meeting this awesome family today. Mum use to ride at Ti Tree Hills Horse Treks and now she is able to share it with her family. Two girls did so well on their big ride up the hill and over farm land. Youngest even came off the lead rein half way through the trek. Great Afternoon - see you all again soon!
Weekend rides! A great way to unwind in Auckland after a busy week at work. Today we enjoyed two horse treks, and then a ride out with some of the grazing horses and are looking forward to three more horse rides tomorrow. Hoping the sun is out, but it really is pretty in every weather!
We had a gorgeous day out riding today! Here's one of our favourite snaps...Roy on the final trek of the day at the top of the hill looking out over Waiwera, and when we looked towards Auckland we can see all the way to the Sky Tower!
Well done everyone on your horse rides today. Lovely meeting you all!
School Holidays are of to a great start at Ti Tree Hills Horse Treks with horse riding every day! Guided treks through bush, riding over farm land...we've had a great time even if the Auckland weather hasn't been playing nice every day. BUT...the sun was out today. Here's hoping it lasts - right now the forecast is for sun and cloud, fingers crossed!
